write msconfig in command prompt....

13. Server (If your computer do not connect with any network)
14. Tablet PC Input Service
15. Themes
16. TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
17. Windows Media Center Service Launcher
18. Windows Search
19.Remote Registry
20. Windows Time
21. Windows security center
22. Windows updates
23. Windows firewall(Provided you have a security software installed) :dance
Stop all these servicess
Step 2:-
Use ccleaner to remove unwanted registery files :dk:
Step 3:-
In msconfig menu ....
goto boot tab n then in advanced option use processors 2 instread of 1....
this will incease speed..
Step 4:-
In msconfig menu ....
goto boot tab n then chec box NO BOOT GUI.
Step 5:-
Delete unwanted fonts from control panel this will increse starup speed n remove unnecessay startup program from msconfig menu :t
